Your records deserve the best care to keep them sounding pristine. Over time, records can accumulate dust, grime and warping, diminishing their audio fidelity and lifespan. Our professional record restoration service is dedicated to restoring your beloved LPs, EPs, 12, 10 and 7 inch singles with a series of processes that will both restore and preserve your wax.
Our services consist of three main treatments; ultrasonic cleaning, warp removal and digitisation and are available in a variety of configurations and quantities. It doesn't matter if you have a single turquoise Led Zep or a low number White Album you want cleaning up, or whole box of ungraded charity shop classics destined for eBay, there is a WaxWork service for you.
As to be expected there are always limitations when dealing with polyvinyl chloride thermoplastic resin but our services consistently restore most records to a solid VG+.
how does it work?
Get in touch via the contact form telling us your requirements. We'll then contact you with the total cost and estimated turnaround time. If you wish to confirm your order and proceed, you then package up your records and send them to us. Once received, we'll email you confirming your records are now in our possession. If possible the work will typically begin on the day of receipt. Once all processes are complete you're records will be returned to you via Royal Mail Tracked 48. Please be aware the customer is responsible for safely packaging the records and all postage costs including return. It is always advisable to use a tracked delivery service as we cannot be held responsible for items lost in transit.
For the most part this is a mail order service however if you're in the Surrey, Hampshire and West Sussex areas and want to avoid postage hassles, we operate a drop-off and collection service at Planet of Sounds at 109 Wey Hill, Haslemere. GU27 1HS.
In cases such as a large amount of records where postage is impractical, we can arrange collection and delivery at additional cost.

I'm Rich, I run WaxWork Record Restoration. Presumably if you're here it's because you have the same problem i've had. Over the last 30 years I've put my whole life into my record collection, I've become more obsessed with it the longer it's gone on to the point it is now more of a lifestyle than a hobby for me. As a result I 'need' the highest possible fidelity, which as we all know can be hit and miss with this format, especially if you've got records that are now getting on for 70 years old.
After trying pretty much every cleaning solution on the market I took the financially questionable plunge on an ultrasonic cleaner which I can only describe as a game changer. Two years on and many hundreds of records cleaned later, not to mention many more hundreds of friends records, it still amazes me the difference it can make. I often wondered why it was so hard to find this as a service and wondered if such a thing would be a benefit to fellow collectors, diggers and DJs. So following a recent mid career redundancy, I decided to go all in and find out.
